The Journal has been issued since 1963. In1963–1991, it was out under the title Proceedings of the Academy of Sciences of BSSR. Series of Agricultural Sciences, in 1992–1995 Proceedings of the Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Belarus, in 1996–2002 Proceedings of the Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, since the third issue in 2002 (after incorporation of Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic of Belarus into the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus as the Department of Agrarian Sciences of the NAS of Belarus) the journal comes under its actual title. 

The editorial board is represented by authoritative scientists. Since 2002, editor-in-chief is Academician V.G. Gusakov.
